Our three-step introduction process ensures that clients feel comfortable with our team and approach before partnering with us. While the amount of analytical work we undertake together may seem daunting to some, experience has shown us that by knowing you better, we serve you better.
Step 1: The Introduction
During our first meeting, we will get to know each other. You tell us what your concerns are and we tell you how we can help. At the end of the first meeting, we provide you with detailed questionnaires. The questionnaires give us a sense of your current financial situation, risk tolerance level, time horizon, and investment objectives. It also gives our team a better sense of you—your life goals, your family relationships, and what’s important to you.
Step 2: The Honest Discussion
Once you return the completed questionnaires to us, The McNicol Team* assesses your current portfolio and strategy in light of your goals and needs. We then prepare a financial plan that we believe is appropriate for you. It is through open, honest communication during this meeting that we are able to truly fine-tune your investment plan.
Step 3: The Handshake
The third meeting is where we present to you a formalized financial plan, Investment Policy Statement, and investment recommendations. On your approval of these documents, we invite you to become a client. From that point on, we will continue to assess and monitor your plan to keep you on the right financial path.
