Ken Thomas, FMA — Associate Investment Advisor

Ken previously worked at the Royal Bank as a Senior Auditor for ten years and entered the investment world eight years ago as a planner at Berkshire Securities. He joined Blackmont Capital Inc. in 2006 and has obtained his Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation and completed the Professional Financial Planning course. He is currently awaiting his FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute) designation.

In his current role as an Associate Investment Advisor, Ken provides me with administrative and financial planning support; his main role is managing relationships to ensure that all my clients' needs are met.

Ken is a single father of a teenaged daughter who is currently studying to be a physiotherapist. He enjoys playing soccer, biking and weight training, and is a qualified lifeguard and former swim teacher. He has volunteered with the Canadian government’s Department of Human Resources and Social Development assisting new immigrants to find jobs in Canada.
