Throughout my life I have followed my inner drive to be the best at whatever I do. I entered the investment industry over 19 years ago, and have built a name for myself as an unconventional and independent thinker. My solid track record of making correct calls on currency and market conditions have served my private investors well.

Providing analysis of trends by sector and nation around the globe, I have been hosting Lamoureux On Finance for the past four years. I have also regularly written the most popular analysis on Les Affaires cyber-magazine; and have contributed to the highly regarded Montreal newspaper La Presse. I have recently appeared on Taking Stock and Final Word on Bloomberg TV, where I was seen alongside chief economists and Wall Street strategists by a potential audience of 83 million viewers. Furthermore, I have developed a Liquidity Index that is often cited to illustrate monetary conditions, and my current views can be accessed through well-known industry discussion sites, including fallstreet.com, Planet Yelnick, blackswantrading.com, bloomberg.com, and canoe.com.

Prior to Blackmont Capital, I worked at Merrill Lynch, where I developed effective models for recognizing currency trends in the early 90s and became one of the firm's top retail currency traders in Canada . When Merrill was purchased by a bank-owned firm, I chose to join Blackmont Capital in order to be a part of a top-tier independent investment boutique.

I earned a B.Sc. in Biology from Concordia University , and subsequently performed genetic engineering research there and at McGill's world class biotechnology laboratory. Prior to university, I underwent two years of military college education, including officer training at St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu. Once a competitive tennis player ranked within the top 100 in Québec, I now enjoy the game for recreation and engage enthusiastically in all outdoor sports.
