Ken Thomas, FMA — Associate Investment Advisor

I previously worked at the Royal Bank as a Senior Auditor for ten years and entered the investment world eight years ago as a planner at Berkshire Securities. I joined Blackmont Capital Inc. in 2006 and have completed my Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and my Professional Financial Planning (PFP) courses. I am currently awaiting my Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation.

In my current role as an Associate Investment Advisor, I provide administrative and financial planning support to Dave Hagenow. My main role is managing relationships to ensure that all clients' needs are met.

I am a single father of a teenaged daughter who is currently studying to be a physiotherapist. I enjoy playing soccer, biking and weight training, and am a qualified lifeguard and former swim teacher. I have volunteered with the Canadian government’s Department of Human Resources and Social Development assisting new immigrants to find jobs in Canada.
