Dennis was involved in running a family transportation business before emigrating from Zimbabwe to Canada in 1979. He joined Merrill Lynch Canada where he became a Vice President, Branch Manager and a member of Merrill’s prestigious Chairman’s Club. After Merrill Lynch sold their Canadian operation in 1990, Dennis joined Dean Witter Canada, which in turn was absorbed by Midland Walwyn. After eight years with Midland Walwyn as a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor, he joined ScotiaMcLeod as a Director in the Wealth Management Division.

Dennis is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Cape Town. He is the father of two grown sons, and is an avid pilot. Dennis regularly devotes his time and aircraft to fly for Hope Air, a registered charity that helps Canadians in financial need fly to urgent and necessary medical treatment.
