Investing in a Global Context
We are on the verge of a radical geopolitical shift that will have serious implications for investors. Over the coming years, the world will face a redistribution of wealth from the west to the east due to the Asian economies’ insatiable appetite to supply quality of life to their growing populations. I predict this redistribution will take place just as the world nears maximum capacity in its production of key commodities: energy, food and metals.
Canada should fare well under these circumstances since we possess a large percentage of what the world will always require — water, minerals, oil, and a significant agricultural output. Canadian investors will need to make the right choices to weather the coming inflationary storm, and I have insightful solutions with which to guide them.
