I have over 20 years' experience in the investment industry, having worked on the institutional side as a bond trader, and now on the investment advisory side. My clients include CEOs, Executives and high net worth families, who have been with me for decades. Combining my institutional experience with my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) knowledge, I am able to help my clients protect and grow their wealth through proactive, tax-efficient strategies.

I was an Institutional Bond Trader for First Canada Securities and Gordon Capital. As a result, I have an in-depth understanding of the complex factors at play in the economy and the markets, helping me see market shifts and investment opportunities as soon as they start developing. I made a career change to the investment advisory side in order to serve private clients, and administer group and pension investments for employees at leading corporations. I worked at CIBC Wood Gundy for six years, prior to moving to Blackmont Capital in 2008.

I joined Blackmont in order to have the firm-independence necessary to help clients prepare their portfolios for the lasting market changes I see developing today. Blackmont gives me the flexibility to serve clients without bias towards any particular in-house products or solutions.

I bring a truly global investment perspective to my clients. I maintain a close network of senior investment professionals who are based around the world, and enjoy open and frank discussions with them about the markets, the global economy and emerging trends. I am a monthly financial analysis guest expert on the Business News Network (BNN), and also appear on other major business news outlets in North and South America. Born in Chile, I speak Spanish, French, Italian and English. I have a BA in Economics and Political Science, as well as a specialty in Foreign Relations from the University of Toronto.

I work in downtown Toronto, and reside with my family in Collingwood, where I enjoy sailing and other pleasures of a healthy work/life balance. My love for sailing has taught a lesson that serves my clients well: you can't control the wind, but you can adjust your sails.
