David J. Angas

David J. Angas, Vice President, Investment Advisor, is a graduate of Sir George Williams University and assumed a number of senior management positions in the private business sector before joining Burns Fry Investments Ltd. in 1993.

David held the position of Vice-President, Senior Investment Advisor and Assistant Branch Manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns before moving to Blackmont Capital in 2004. He is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), President of the Investment Advisors Association of Canada (IAAOC) and has more than 30 years of combined business experience in investing, financial planning and private wealth management.

David was born in England, grew up and attended school in Montreal before moving to Ontario in 1976. He remains an active community volunteer and serves on a number of charitable boards in Oakville where he now lives with his family. He has been a Rotarian for more than 25 years and currently chairs an international committee on water providing humanitarian relief for the people living in sub-Sahara Africa. He has been an active fundraiser for the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, The Easter Seals Society and the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

David’s hobbies and personal activities include canoeing, motorcycling and sailing.
